"REHA" – A tragicomic culture-clash chamber piece
After 30 years of silence, Ayşe, a bourgeois former opera singer, and her anarchic ex-husband Hasan unexpectedly reunite in a Bavarian cancer clinic.
She treats the place like a disciplined retreat; he experiences it as a German health prison. Diagnosed with dueling cancers, they are forced into three weeks of reluctant cohabitation — navigating clinic rituals, unresolved resentment, and the humiliations of aging bodies.
What begins as a trivial war over rules and dignity slowly exposes the fragility beneath their pride. Set against the sterile calm of the Bavarian Forest, REHA is a tragicomic study of control, shame and the stubborn hope that even late in life, something unfinished might still be renegotiated.
